I created this necklace from a fuchsia - my dad's favorite flower. As a child we always had lots growing in the garden and I used to love to "pop" the bud of petals and 'help' them to bloom, as I thought!

And then when they did bloom, they reminded me of little ballerinas...on their toes, with pretty little lacy skirts...

This very feminine necklace is hand sculpted in fine silver, showing the stamens, sepals and petals of the flower. The top four petals are created in silver wire with paper treated with a protective hardener. Two green leaves are similarly made and also hang from the flower. The leaves and flower make a lovely little tinkling sound as you wear them.

The necklace serves as a lovely reminder to the wearer that it is their time to flourish.

The flower is approximately 2 inches long. As the flower is three dimensional, this piece works well on a long opera length chain. It is supplied on either a 30 or 36 inch silver-colored metal chain. Please specify which chain length you prefer.

A BIRD IN THE HAND

"A bird in the hand...is worth two in bush"...meaning It's better to have a small actual advantage than the chance of a greater one. The sentiment of this necklace is be thankful for what you do have.

This necklace is hand sculpted in fine silver (.999) and depicts a little bird being cradled in a hand. The hand is gently curved up
around the bird. The piece is very elegant and solid silver. A beautiful piece of art to wear and be admired.

It comes on a sterling silver (.925) chain, 18 inches in length. The hand is 1 inches long.

This little freckle faced girl is standing so very still.....not daring to move as she is relishing this moment of having a bird in the hand.

She is a great reminder for us of the meaning of that saying "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush", meaning be grateful for what you have and don't just wish for other things all the time that may not be as good as the present.

She is a second interpretation of this saying that I have made. Her happy smile shows her delight at the bird and makes you want to smile too.

The little girl is hand sculpted in fine silver and stands nearly 1.5 inches tall (3.5cm). She hangs on a 16, 18 or 20 inch (40,45 or 50cm) sterling chain.

A lovely silver garden gate hangs from this necklace...then you have to "open" the gate to enter the garden and see all the flowers! The reverse of the pendant shows roses, climbing up over the gate.

The gate is 1 inch tall and 3/4 inch wide and is made of fine silver. It hangs on a silver colored chain, 16, 18 or 20 inches long.

A beautiful hand sculpted brooch to comfort and protect. It just feels like a safe place....

A little hand sculpted figure is nestled inside a purse - with his little hands showing over the top.

The purse features a fibula style pin that is very secure for this brooch. There is alot of spring in the fastener, made from stainless steel, and it hooks safely under the latch.

There is a lot of silver in this piece (35g) so it is suitable to be worn on coats, jackets, sweaters - but not suitable for delicate fabrics such as blouses.

Just a delightful warm, reassuring and comforting unique piece.

The purse is 4cm wide by 1 cm deep by 3.5 cm tall. With the pin, the total height is 6cm.
